The human nervous system (NS) is divided after functional aspects; 1. the voluntary (somatic) system and 2. the involuntary (vegetative) system.
The somatic system controls the skeletal muscles. The vegetative system regulates the inner organs, adenoids, blood vessels etc. not depending on consciousness or will of the human being.
The vegetative system is divided into two effective parts (parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system). Through that interaction between these two parts of the sympathetic nervous system (stimulating) and the parasympathetic nervous system (retardant) the inner environment of the organism is maintained. The function of the organs can be adapted to changing environmental needs by the vegetative system (control circuit).
In case of an intact regulation the organism is in a healthy state. The duty of the biological control circuit is to maintain the balance within the whole organism (body and soul).
Acupuncture and Neural Therapy are regulatory therapeutic methods, which also get combined in certain cases, i.e. when the control circuit breaks down.
